“The indictments Rod Rosenstein announced are good news for all Americans. The Russians are nailed. No Americans are involved. Time for Mueller to end this pursuit of the President and say President Trump is completely innocent,” Giuliani tweeted Friday.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced the indictments Friday. The criminal complaint, filed in federal court in Washington, alleges the Russians broke into computers owned by Hillary Clinton’s campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

The Russians, who worked in two units of a Russian intelligence agency, are charged with releasing the hacked emails under the names DCLeaks and Guccifer 2.0 in an attempt to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

Rosenstein said during a news conference there is no allegation in Friday’s indictment that any American was a knowing participant in the Russian’s efforts or knew they were communicating with foreign intelligence officers.

Trump and his allies have frequently attacked the Mueller investigation as a “witch hunt” against the president.
